This week, you can find Selka’s Loop table at the Stockholm Furniture Fair on Octacell’s stand.
Octacell’s soundproof modular solutions are designed to adapt to customer needs, allowing spaces to be expanded or reduced as required. At the fair, Octacell is showcasing a large meeting room that can accommodate a spacious conference table – such as Selka’s Loop.
The Loop conference table base can also be scaled to different sizes, almost without limits. Its structure allows flexible placement of power outlets in the center of the tabletop. For the Stockholm fair, the Loop was produced at a height of 90 cm.

In many contract furnishing projects, such as restaurants and hotels, the goal is to create something unique – an atmosphere that makes customers want to stay and enjoy. Beyond beautiful spaces, the customer experience is heavily influenced by how quickly and kindly the staff can serve their guests. That’s why it’s worth investing in the functionality of spaces and furniture from the staff’s perspective.
Is the height of the worktops ergonomic? Is there enough room to move around? How easy is it to transport dishes from one space to another? In interior projects, there’s often a need for custom furniture design when off-the-shelf solutions don’t meet the requirements.
Pictured here is a café trolley created for a @studiotuulay project, based on Tuula’s design. When a designer has an idea, we help ensure the product is technically feasible and the structures are durable for its intended purpose.
Monissa projektikalustamisen kohteissa, kuten ravintoloissa ja hotelleissa, halutaan luoda jotain ainutlaatuista – tunnelmaa, joka saa asiakkaat viihtymään. Kauniiden tilojen lisäksi asiakaskokemukseen vaikuttaa ratkaisevasti se, kuinka nopeasti ja ystävällisesti henkilökunta onnistuu palvelemaan asiakkaitaan. Tilojen ja kalusteiden toimivuuteen henkilökunnan silmin kannattaa siis todella panostaa.
Ovatko työtasot oikealla korkeudella, mahtuuko tiloissa liikkumaan, ja miten esimerkiksi astioiden kuljetus onnistuu tilasta toiseen? Tilasuunnitteluprojekteissa myös kalustesuunnittelulle tulee usein tarvetta, kun valmiista ratkaisuista ei aina löydy sopivaa vaihtoehtoa.

Peggy table bases are modular. There are several different shapes of base plates available, and the height of the base can be customized. The most common heights are 70 and 110 cm, and the most popular base plate shape is round or rounded square, as shown in the pictures.
The modular design makes the bases convenient to transport even in large quantities. The product is ideal as a resale stock product and it comes in over 150 stock colors.

That’s how Juha Nevalainen instructed us when we started taking a photo for Selka’s 5-year update. This perfectly reflects how Selka operates – everyone is equal here, and we don’t care about titles. An open and relaxed atmosphere allows space for new ideas. Without those, we wouldn’t have been able to save the old Selka from bankruptcy.
In the first 5 years of the new Selka, we’ve been able to continue as a partner to many customers we’ve had for decades. We’ve also been fortunate to become a development and manufacturing partner for many new clients and designers. Today, over 50% of our business comes from sources that didn’t exist five years ago.
We want to thank everyone we have the pleasure of working with today💜🎉
